Occupational physician

What you will be doing

As an experienced occupational physician you shape the reintegration of employees who are absent. You work closely with a settled team of employability advisers and weigh the options together with employers and treating clinicians. Day to day, you supervise our physicians in training.

You think in terms of what is possible, so that employees stay out of work no longer than they need to, and you build a file with the team that will hold up under the Gatekeeper Improvement Act.

Why here

We make sure you can work under the best conditions. Our consultations run 45 to 60 minutes and we schedule preparation and wrap-up time through the working day. Where it is needed, a consultation can run longer than an hour. That way you have enough time to finish your work on time. The time for your role as a mentor is fixed in the diary as well.

You get administrative support. A laptop, a smartphone and a lease car go without saying, and we take plenty of time over the induction programme.

What we offer

• A salary above the market rate. Indication on a full-time basis, depending on experience: occupational physician 9,500 to 11,500 euros, senior or mentor occupational physician up to 12,750 euros, occupational physician in training or lateral entrant 6,500 to 9,250 euros, occupational health doctor with experience in the field 5,500 to 9,000 euros.
• A mobility or lease budget of 750 euros per month on a full-time basis, with a free choice of car, preferably green or electric.
• Room to grow through the Dokter Beter Academy and other affiliated training institutes, with supervision by your fellow physicians.
• Your training costs covered.
• Everything you need to do your work properly: notebook, phone, medical aids and equipment, subscriptions.
• A say in how the organisation develops, with a seat at the physicians' team meeting and at strategic meetings with the board.
• Partly hybrid working: from home, from our own locations or at the client.
