A regular occupational physician, on your floor
We place a regular occupational physician at your site, by the half-day or the full day, as often as you need. No waiting list for consultations, no revolving faces.
What the physician does at your premises
Four things that only work on site
Scheduled consultations
Absence and reintegration conversations of half an hour, in a familiar room inside your own building. No travelling for the employee, no appointment three weeks out.
Walk-in clinic
Half an hour per day on site when employees can walk in without an appointment with a complaint or a question. Often before there is any absence.
Workplace assessment
The physician walks onto the floor and looks at posture, strain and possible adjustments. Advice on the spot, with no separate visit needed for it.
A handover to the line
Every half-day has set time for a conversation with the manager and HR. What someone may do, what not yet, when we build up. The actions are in the file before the physician leaves.
A day on site
What a day with our physician on your floor looks like
One physician, one day, eight consultations on average, a walk-in clinic and a handover to HR and managers.
This is an example of how a day or half-day could be arranged. You can adjust it as you see fit.
-
Arrival and absence review with HR and managers
A short social-medical review: who is on the list today, which cases are running, what is going on in the departments.
-
Walk-in clinic
Half an hour of walk-in time for employees with complaints or questions, before it turns into absence. No appointment or sickness report needed.
-
Scheduled consultations
Absence and reintegration conversations of 30 minutes, in a familiar room inside your own building.
-
Break and record keeping
Handovers are recorded straight away, with the actions required by the Gatekeeper Improvement Act.
-
Scheduled consultations
An afternoon block of follow-up conversations and new reports. Where needed, a call with the employer.
-
Workplace assessment
A walk onto the floor: posture, strain, adjustments. Advice on the spot, no separate visit needed.
-
Handovers to managers
What someone may do, what not yet, how we build up. The actions are in the file before the physician is out of the door.

Nationwide cover
We come to you, all over the Netherlands
Our occupational physicians work from your own premises. Pick your region and we will match a physician nearby, so that travelling time never eats into consultation time.
Several sites spread across the country? Then we assign a regular physician per region, with one point of contact.
What does an occupational physician on site cost?
Fixed rates per half-day and per day, plus what a half-day contains and what you pay per month.
Frequently asked questions
What HR managers ask us beforehand
Do we need a room of our own?
A room that can be closed, with a table and two chairs, is enough. Our physician brings a laptop and equipment along.
How many employees can the physician see in a day?
On a full day, eight scheduled consultations on average, plus half an hour of walk-in clinic. A half-day follows the same pattern in a shorter form.
What if our regular physician is ill or on holiday?
During holidays we arrange cover from our own team of more than 16 occupational physicians. During sickness we replace the physician, within reason, as soon as possible. The file stays in the same system.
Do we still need our current occupational health service?
No. Dokter Beter works with Arbo Concern, a certified occupational health service, so you meet the requirements of the Working Conditions Act. For this you sign a contract with Arbo Concern, as a tailored arrangement or a safety-net arrangement. We make sure the paperwork is properly arranged. Other services, such as an occupational capacity assessment, can be ordered separately.
Does the physician also work online or by phone?
Consultations with employees take place on site or, where that fits, online. Conversations with the employer often happen by phone between the days on site.
